


Sophie Bresny
Sophie Bresny has been appointed head of investigations unit on the 1st of February 2016 upon the decision of general rapporteur, Virginie Beaumeunier. This unit supports investigation services in terms of inquiries and is composed of 9 people. It plans and coordinates the dawn raids, deals with the litigation relating to those operations and analyses the investigation reports transmitted by the DGCCRF (Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) in order to recommend to the General Rapporteur the follow up required. After a DESS diploma in health care Law, in 1995, Sophie Bresny became case handler at the National Directorate for Competition Investigations (DNEC, direction nationale des enquêtes de concurrence). In 2004, then General case handler, she joins the Champagnes-Ardennes DGCCRF as Head of the consumption investigations and commercial restrictive competitive practices Unit. Back to the DNEC in 2006, she was head of a case handlers division (2006-2008). Then, she spent one year in Senegal working for the American NGO Tostan, in Dakar. Back in France in 2010, she was appointed Deputy Director of the National service of investigations – Monitoring center for e-commerce (SNE-CSCE, service national des enquêtes – centre de surveillance du commerce électronique). Since 2013 she was Deputy head of unit 6B for medias, telecommunications, cultural goods and services at the DGCCRF.
