

Peter Roth
Sir Peter Roth is a judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court of England and Wales, and since November 2013 the President of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (the CAT). Prior to being appointed a judge, he practised at the Bar from 1979 and became a QC in 1997. At the Bar, he was a leading practitioner in competition law and public law. Sir Peter held a visiting professorship at King’s College, London, teaching competition law on the LLM course, was the general editor of the 5th and 6th editions of Bellamy & Child on European Union Law of Competition. In 2018 he delivered the Blackstone Lecture at Oxford University on “The Continual Evolution of Competition Law.”
