KYLE LE CROY focuses on EU and UK competition law. His experience includes a wide range of antitrust issues, including: cartels and market investigations, merger control, abuse of dominance, joint ventures, vertical and horizontal restrictive agreements, compliance programs and EU state aid. Kyle has been involved in cases before the Court of Justice and the General Court of the European Union, the High Court of Justice of England and Wales, as well as the European Commission and national competition authorities in the UK and other major jurisdictions around the world. Kyle has advised clients in a range of industries and sectors, including financial services, private equity, publishing, energy, transport, IT, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce and food and beverages. Kyle joined Sidley in 2015 after practising EU and UK competition law at a major international law firm, where he also trained. In addition, Kyle completed a secondment to one of the world’s leading international oil and gas companies for six months in 2014. Before qualifying as an English solicitor, Kyle worked as a stagiaire to the U.S. Department of State in France in the Commercial and Economic, Public Diplomacy and American Citizen Services divisions. Kyle received his BA (Hons) in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford (Worcester College), where he joined Oxford’s team for the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, which won Best Respondent Memorial in the United Kingdom. Kyle also holds a BA in History and International Studies from Yale University (Pierson College), from which he graduated with Distinction.
