


Kirsten Edwards-Warren
Kirsten Edwards-Warren is an executive vice president and the deputy head of Compass Lexecon EMEA. She has worked as a professional economist for 20 years, both in consulting and at the UK competition agencies, most recently serving as director of economics at both the Office of Fair Trading and at the Competition Commission, just prior to the establishment of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Kirsten Edwards-Warren’s recent cases include the IBM/Red Hat merger, which was cleared unconditionally globally in 2019, the cleared merger of GSK and Pfizer Consumer Heath Businesses in 2019, the Nielsen/Ebiquity merger, which was cleared by the CMA at Phase II in November 2018, and the Suzano/Fibria transaction, which was cleared with commitments at Phase I by DG Comp in November 2018. She has worked on over 50 mergers in the UK and Europe and on various recent Article 102 investigations into excessive pricing, exclusivity rebates, and predation. Kirsten is listed among the 13 most highly regarded “Global Elite Thought Leaders” in Competition Economics 2020 by Who’s Who Legal. She features in the latest Global Competition Review Women in Antitrust Survey, where she is recognized among the top ten female economists in global antitrust. Kirsten Edwards-Warren was educated at the University of Nottingham and at Birkbeck College, University of London, where she obtained an M.Sc. in Economics (with distinction). She is also a qualified chartered accountant and a certified professional co-active coach.
