Jean-Yves Ollier is a Conseiller at Conseil d’Etat. He was Director general of the French Regulatory Commission of Energy from 2011 to 2017. Jean-Yves Ollier is a former student of the Ecole normale supérieure (1987) and National School of Administration (ENA) (1995). He graduated from Sciences Po and holds diploma in history. He started his career within the State Council (Conseil d’Etat) where he worked as "rapporteur" from 1995 to 1997 then deputy general secretary in charge of management until 1999. At the same time, he also worked as General secretary for the Commission for financial transparency of political life. In 1999, he was appointed deputy head of economic and commercial affairs of the French Permanent Representation to the European Union, where he was in charge of following transatlantic relations, general commercial policy and relations with the General Secretary for the energy charter. In 2001, he joined AXA audit direction. As a lawyer, he is admitted at the Paris Bar since 2004, specialized in public and environmental law. He worked as a Partner within Allen & Overy.
