Pola Karolczyk is an associate in Sidley’s Brussels office and a member of the Sidley Austin’s Antitrust/Competition practice. Pola has experience in various aspects of competition law, including abuse of dominance, multi-jurisdictional cartel investigations and leniency applications, antitrust counseling, state aid, merger control and compliance programs. She has advised on antitrust issues in a wide range of commercial activities. Pola has worked on projects involving clients in the following sectors: telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, beer and soft drinks, automotive, shipyards, copper production, chemical and biotechnological products, and hypermarket chains. She has significant experience in the application of competition law to distribution systems in various industries. Prior to joining the firm, Pola gained experience in international firms located in Warsaw. During her studies at the University of California, Berkeley, Pola started a popular competition law blog (Berkeley Global Antitrust), in which she covers Internet-related issues.
