


Eleni Gouliou
Eleni Gouliou is Director of Mergers at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) handling Phase 1 and Phase 2 mergers. She is also the head of the CMA’s Mergers Intelligence Committee. Eleni was previously Case Handler at the European Commission in DG Competition dealing first with telecoms and media mergers and subsequently with antitrust in the telecoms sector. She has been involved in many complex mergers, including D&D/TMG, Illumina/PacBio, Visa / Plaid, and mobile telecoms mergers. Prior to the Commission, Eleni worked at Ofcom and as a competition lawyer in private practice and at the BBC.
