Wolfgang Heckenberger is a German qualified lawyer and was Chief Counsel Competition at Siemens AG for many years. He was advising the Siemens Group on a worldwide basis in all aspects of Competition Law relating to mergers and acquisitions, collaborative and other horizontal and vertical arrangements, cartel investigations, antitrust related corporate governance, and state aid matters. Prior to joining Siemens in 1999 he served for more than three years at the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) in Berlin and lectured as assistant professor at the University of Würzburg. Mr. Heckenberger graduated from the University of Würzburg. He currently serves as a board member of the Competition Committee of the BDI (Federation of German Industries). In addition, he was a lecturer at the Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, and is admitted to the Munich Bar.
