Angeliki Valsamidou is the Director of ethics and compliance at Astellas. She was Legal Counsel at UCB. Before, she was an Associate in the Brussels office of Covington & Burling LLP, focusing on European regulatory law in the life sciences sector, competition law and intellectual property rights. She is a Greek lawyer (Athens Bar), and holds an LLM in European Competition and Intellectual Property law at the University of Liège. She has formerly advised on European law and life sciences regulatory matters in Greece and in Belgium. She has received her law degree from the University of Athens and also holds a Ph.D. in law and an LL.M. from the University of Heidelberg. She speaks English, French, German and Greek.
