Tim Van Emelen obtained his law degree at the KU Leuven in 2005 (cum laude in his final year). In 2006, he acquired his DES-degree in public international law at the ’Université Libre de Bruxelles’. Tim joined ICRI as a researcher in march 2007. After completing a research project concerning e-government, Tim became part of the ICRI “copyright team”. His research focused on the digital recording and distribution of stage arts and the use of new forms of media and communication in the independent films sector. He is currently Senior Legal Counsel at Oracle.
