Teresa Lorca Morales joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados S.L.P. in 2007. She is an associate in the Brussels office, where she works in the competition and antitrust department. Her practice coves a broad range of EC competition law matters, including cartels proceedings - leniency program, compliance programs, mergers clearance, abuse of dominant position, competition concerns within the regulated sectors and representing parties before the Spanish antitrust agency. She has also represented entities on cross-border matters on corporate issues: mergers and acquisitions - corporate due diligences; photovoltaic farm projects - purchase agreement, lease contracts, management contracts, turnkey contract; telecommunications - sportive screening rights. Her expertise advising companies covers a variety of business sectors, including power generation, transports, telecommunications, cosmetics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods or consumer products. She graduated from the Law School of the University of Murcia, Spain in 2003, studying the last year of the degree in the University of Roma 3, Rome, Italy, in the framework of Erasmus exchange programme. She obtained a Master in European Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, Warsaw, Poland, in 2007. Her MA Thesis, “Merger Control in the Pharmaceutical Sector and the Innovation Market Assessment” was awarded with a mention spéciale for the best MA Thesis in the area of health, EFPIA competition (2007, European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, Brussels, Belgium), and published in 2008 by Institute of European Studies, University San Pablo CEU, Madrid, Spain. She was admitted to the Spanish Bar in 2007. Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English, French and Italian.
