Steven Nam’s practice covers antitrust matters that are often multinational in scope. He is versed in government investigations and mergers and acquisitions in such industries as automotive components, chemicals, electronic financial marketplaces, pharmaceuticals, and financial information services. He also has experience representing banks on issues related to derivative instruments. Steven directly assists the leader of Jones Day’s Korea Practice with its ongoing development. He has participated in antitrust-related outreach to the electronics and chemical subsidiaries of Korean conglomerates, as well as to a Japanese chemical trade association. From 2007 to 2008, Steven served as president of the Japanese Legal Studies Association (Nihon Houritsu Kenkyuukai) at Columbia Law School. He is a member of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association and is active on its International Committee.
