Stephan is a senior associate in Bird & Bird’s Competition & EU Group based in Düsseldorf. He advises clients across the whole spectrum of EU and German competition law, including State aid law, with a particular focus on patents and standards, cartel damages and distribution and supply agreements. Key areas of his work include the automotive, IT & telecoms and (online) retail sectors. Stephan holds a doctorate in law from the University of Münster and a diploma in business administration for lawyers from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
