Ms Amrani-Mekki is a professor of law and a researcher at the University of Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense. She successfully passed the agrégation in private law and criminal sciences in 2003 and subsequently specialised in civil procedure. She has been a member of the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights since 2009 and participates in numerous scientific councils, expert groups and research laboratories. She was a member of the Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature from 2015 to 2019.
