Shreeya joined Gilbert + Tobin in March 2008, and is a lawyer in the Competition & Regulation Group. She now works as a legal officer for the Australian law reform commission.
Her practice includes providing regulatory advice to clients in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining the firm, Shreeya worked at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), where she gained experience in mergers, enforcement and electricity regulation. In 2006, Shreeya worked at the Aurora Project, facilitating the placement of students and young lawyers at Indigenous organisations around Australia. Shreeya has qualifications in commerce, majoring in business economics and law from the University of New South Wales. Whilst at university, Shreeya undertook an internship at the Cape York Institute for Policy and Leadership, a policy think tank headed by Noel Pearson. She also undertook an internship in 2005 with Senator Grant Chapman, the head of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services, focusing on corporate social responsibility. Shreeya was previously admitted as an attorney in the State of New York in 2007.
