Mr. Scott McInnes is a Partner in the Bird & Bird Brussels office. Before, he was senior regulatory counsel within MasterCard’s legal department, and covers a variety of regulatory matters. His main areas of focus are EU and national competition law, payment systems, Interchange Fee Regulation, Payment Services Directive (PSD), E-money Directive (EMD), litigation, Oversight, etc. Before joining MasterCard, he was an associate at Jones Day for more than seven years, dealing with a wide variety of competition law / EU law matters. He is a member of the Belgian Company Lawyers Institute (Institut des Juristes d’Entreprises).
