Satu-Anneli Kauranen is a partner at Merilampi Attorneys Ltd. and specializes in EU and competition law. She has extensive experience in matters relating to the abuse of dominant position and both domestic and international merger notifications. In addition, she regularly advices clients in assignments relating to cartels and the exchange of information as well as both procurement entities and private companies in public procurement issues. Satu-Anneli also has broad experience with EU regulatory law. She has advised a number of companies and trade associations on matters concerning energy, chemicals (REACH and biocides), the environment, food and product safety. Before joining Merilampi, Satu-Anneli worked for several years in well-known international law firms in Brussels handling complex “competition” and regulatory matters. She graduated from the University of Turku and also holds an LL.M. in EU and Intellectual Property Law from Leuven University (K.U. Leuven).
