Rüdiger Harms is counsel based in Cleary Gottlieb’s Cologne office. Mr. Harms’ work focuses on litigation and arbitration matters. He is active across the entire spectrum of commercial law, with a particular specialization in civil antitrust law. Mr. Harms regularly acts as an adviser to a major film studio in disputes under contract law and in the implementation of strategic business decisions, all the way to court proceedings. Furthermore, Mr. Harms advises the Agfa-Gevaert Group in particular in various state and arbitration proceedings in connection with the sale of the Consumer Imaging division. Current clients and those most recently represented by Mr. Harms also include leading global IT service providers and software companies, UTC subsidiaries, a provider of industrial gases, an industry service provider in engineering and plant construction, and an internationally active mining group. Prior to joining Cleary Gottlieb, Mr. Harms worked for some of the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile telephones and hydraulic components, and numerous OEMs, in particular in the automotive and technology sectors.
