Philippe Rincazaux is a partner in Orrick’s Paris office. Mr. Rincazaux focuses his practice on European and French antitrust and competition law. He regularly advises French and international clients in antitrust, competition and regulatory matters and represents them before European and French courts and competition and regulatory authorities. Philippe Rincazaux has significant experience in sectors comprising audit, chemical industries, computers, electronic and information technology products, distribution, electricity, energy, gas, health care products, the hotel industry, luxury goods, mass consumption and food products, the media, oil, pharmaceutical products, telecommunications and toys. Philippe Rincazaux is listed as "a leading individual" in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession, which noted his "impressive knowledge and phenomenal capacity for work". Mr. Rincazaux is mentioned in PLC Which Lawyer 2008 for having "successfully developed the French arm of the firm’s competition law practice, advising on EC and French competition law, as well as distribution, consumer and economic law, in a wide range of industries". He is also recommended in Who’s Who Legal 2008 as one of the best practitioners in his area of law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Rincazaux was a partner with Coudert Brothers in Paris, where he was the partner in charge of the antitrust and competition law department. He is a board member, Treasurer and in charge of international relations for the French Association on Competition Law (AFEC), as well as a founding member of the Association for Lawyers Practising Competition Law (APDC). He is an Officer of the Antitrust Committee of the IBA. Mr Rincazaux is a lecturer at MBA-ESSEC, in charge of the European and French Competition Law Course. He studied law at the University of Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he obtained a DEA in Business and Economic Law, and at Harvard Law School.
