Philippe Croene was an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Rome, where his practice mainly focused on different aspects of EU law and competition law, as well as on regulatory issues in the telecommunications and energy sectors and on unfair commercial practices and misleading advertising rules. Philippe Croene is a member of the Rome Bar and joined Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in 2005, after graduating magna cum laude from LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome) in 2004 and obtaining an LL.M. degree with honors from the Institut d’Etudes Européennes of the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2005. In 2006, he completed a clerkship at the Legal Service of the European Commission, where he focused on European business law. Philippe Croene is a native Italian speaker and he is fluent in English and French.
