Before joining DLA Piper Hungary in 2010 as a Head of Antitrust and Competition, Peter worked at British American Tobacco Hungary for more than three years as a senior legal manager responsible for Hungary and Croatia. Peter also worked at the Hungarian Competition Authority for nine years, where he was appointed to be the deputy-director of the Antitrust Directorate from 2012 on. As for his international work experience, from 2007 to 2009 Peter was working as a policy analyst for the Competition Division of OECD in Paris. Before working for OECD, from 2005 to 2006, Peter was working as a national expert for the European Commission, DG Competition. He is completing Ph.D. studies at University of Pécs, Department of Law, International and European Law Section, where his main research areas are the assessment of buyer power issues, extraterritorial application of EU competition law, future chances of an international antitrust code and the analysis of existing bilateral and multilateral competition agreements.
