Nathalie HOMOBONO was director general in the Directorate-General for competition policy, consumer affairs and fraud control (DGCCRF) between April 2009 and December 2018. In 2016, she was deputy director general in the Directorate-General for Enterprises. Previously she was an enforcement team manager and started her career in the field of competitiveness and innovation programmes for SMEs. She is a graduate from the Ecole des mines de Paris (1990) and holds a PhD in mathematics and computer science at Paris XIII Orsay University (1987).Since the beginning of 2015, she is also chair of the Committee on Consumer Policy in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
