Resolution Policy Officer

Minke Gort specializes in bank recovery and resolution planning, EU state aid law for financial institutions, rescue and restructuring of banks, restructuring of cooperative banks, design of special resolution regimes for financial institutions, financial supervision regulation, European Law and Dutch Law. She is a Resolution Policy Officer at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) where she is responsible for developing policy frameworks in the areas of resolution planning, funding in resolution and loss absorbing capacity. To that end she participates in various European (EBA) and international (FSB) workstreams. In addition, Minke is involved in resolution planning for Dutch financial institutions. Prior to this, Minke was a policy officer at the Financial Stability Division of De Nederlandsche Bank where she was responsible for analysing (macro-prudential) risks for financial stability and addressing these risks with specific policies on both a national and international level. Minke was a case handler at the European Commission from 2009 to 2013 where she analysed rescue instruments provided to financial institutions during the financial crisis (recapitalisations and asset relief measures) and the restructuring plans (business model, balance sheet, P&L and their underlying assumptions) provided by financial institutions in order to determine the viability of the institution and its restructuring needs. Minke received an LL.M. in european law from Maastricht University in 2004 and speaks english, dutch, german and french.
