Michael Rueter joined the London office of Clifford Chance in 2008. He deals primarily with European Union and United Kingdom antitrust and market investigations and international mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, focusing on the communications/media and financial services sectors as well as private equity and fast moving consumer goods. He also provides general advice on EU competition law issues such as information exchange, dominance and state aid. An American citizen, Mr. Rueter is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and completed a Masters degree at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where he served as the Director of the Transatlantic Policy Network prior to completing his law studies in London and qualifying to practice law in England and Wales.
