Dr. Michael Rosenthal is a partner in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Brussels office. He advises clients in a wide range of industries on all aspects of EU and German competition laws before the European Commission as well as the national competition authority and courts in Germany. Prior to joining the firm, Michael chaired the European arm of Hunton & Williams’ competition team and also served as managing partner of that firm’s Brussels office. Before joining Hunton & Williams, Michael was an associate with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and, previously, Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. Michael is listed as a leading competition lawyer in the major legal directories, including The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers, and is the co-author of the book Rosenthal/Thomas, European Merger Control (C.H. Beck/Hart Publishing, 2010). Recognized as a "leader in his field," according to Chambers, "clients enthuse that ’he has excellent knowledge, fast reaction time and provides us with great guidance and flexibility, helping us to achieve our targets quickly and efficiently’" (Chambers Europe).
