Michael Rosenthal is the founder of the Brussels office and co-head of the Firm’s Antitrust Group, advising on the full range of EU and German competition law matters. He is the co-author of the treatise Rosenthal/Thomas - European Merger Control (C.H. Beck). In his over 20 years of practice, Dr. Rosenthal has advised clients on a significant number of the largest global transactions, as well as complex cartel investigations and monopolization matters across various industries. Dr. Rosenthal is consistently recognised by all major legal directories (including Who’s Who Thought Leaders) as a leader in the European competition field. In Chambers Global and Chambers Europe guides, clients say he “stands out,” and they have called him a “truly creative problem solver.” They further praise his “fast reaction time” and say that he provides “great guidance and flexibility,” which help them to “achieve…targets quickly and efficiently.” Dr. Michael Rosenthal practices before the European Commission and the German competition authority and courts, as well as the European courts. Dual-qualified in Germany (Düsseldorf) and the United States (New York), he is fluent in German, English and French.
