M. Lévy joined Publicis in 1971 and was named Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe in 1987, which under his leadership has become today one of the world’s leading communications groups of top advertising and marketing agencies and pioneer in digital and online communications. He is currently Supervisory Board Chairman at Publicis since 2017. He is a member of the World Economic Forum Foundation Board and the International Advisory Board of the Council on Foreign Relations, New York. In 2005, he co-founded the ICM in Paris (Institute for Brain & Spinal Cord Disorders). He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank and the EEC’s “Comité de Sages” on the digitalization of the European cultural heritage. In 2010 he was elected President of the AFEP (French Association of Private Companies). He is Commandeur, French Légion d’Honneur and Grand Officier, Ordre National du Mérite. Other awards include the 2008 International Leadership Award from the Anti-Defamation League and Institutional Magazine named him Europe’s best CEO in the media industry in 2009 and 2010.
