Mark Mills has been a solicitor with Ofgem, the regulator for the gas and electricity markets in Great Britain since September 2011. He has experience of advising on Ofgem’s competition law functions, in addition to advising on broader regulatory issues such as the Third Energy Package (including certification of transmission system operators). Prior to joining Ofgem, Mark was a trainee solicitor with Hogan Lovells between 2009 and 2011 and was primarily based in the firm’s London office. He was seconded to the firm’s Brussels office between August 2010 and February 2011, where he was involved in a range of antitrust and competition law matters within the antitrust, competition and economic regulation group. He also worked in the banking and finance, insurance and reinsurance litigation and pensions groups in the firm’s London office.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Essex (LL.B Law, 2007), Cambridge University (LL.M Commercial Law, 2008) and BPP Law School (Legal Practice Course, 2009).
