Ms Krasnodębska-Tomkiel, a solicitor, is a partner of Hansberry Tomkiel, a competition law boutique in Warsaw, Poland. From 2008-2014, Ms Krasnodębska-Tomkiel was the Chairman of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (“UOKiK”), where she was responsible for the enforcement of EU and Polish competition laws. As the Chairman of UOKiK, she managed over 470 employees, which included employees in nine Regional offices throughout Poland. In 2014, a Global Competition Review survey named UOKiK (while under her leadership) as one of the top five competition authorities in Europe.Prior to being appointed as the Chairman, she was a Vice-Chairman of UOKiK and the Director of its Legal Department.As a Polish solicitor with a doctorate in legal sciences, she balances her profession by staying current with academics and lecturing. She has taught Polish and EU competition law at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw School of Economics, National School of Public Administration, Collegium Civitas, and in other law faculties. Ms. Krasnodębska-Tomkiel has authored numerous articles on competition law for Polish and international publications.
