Laurent Petit serves as MX1’s VP Global Sales - Broadcasters & Platform Operators since 1 March 2018. Prior to joining MX1, Laurent headed the commercial activities of SES Video in Africa, leading Sales and Marketing efforts in the region. Laurent has held other roles within the SES organisation including leading the Global Accounts initiatives and the Global Occasional Use business group as well as other roles within SES’s Business Development and Finance teams, covering mainly Africa and Asia where he contributed to significant new revenue generating activities. Prior to joining SES, Laurent worked for the European Commission’s Competition Department in Brussels, the Asahi Group (automotive glass industry), and the Heidelberger Zement Group (cement). A native of Belgium, Laurent holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and International Management (HEC Brussels, 1994), is a Certified Financial Analyst (European Association of Financial Analysts, 1998) and holds an MBA degree (Wharton School, USA, 2014). Laurent is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Dutch.
