Laurence Potvin-Solis is Law Professor at the University of Caen Basse-Normandie where she teaches Public and European Law. Before teaching as Professor at the University of Caen Basse-Normandie and as Senior Lecturer (Maître de conférences) at the University of Lorraine, she studied Law at the University of Lorraine and at the University of Strasbourg, where she obtained his Postgraduate Degree in Public Law (DEA). She obtained his PhD Degree and HDR (Doctorat and Habilitation à diriger des recherches) in Public Law at the Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris 2 with a thesis on «L’effet des jurisprudences européennes sur la jurisprudence du Conseil d’Etat français » (LGDJ, 1999). She is specialised in European Law. She is the Founder and Director of the Collection «Jean Monnet Conferences» in the Bruylant Editions and she holds a Jean Monnet Chair. Her most recent research activities include leading Conferences on the Common Values in the European Union, on the Status of Member State of the European Union or on the Elective Principle in the European Union, as well as various individual contributions in the field of the European Union Law.
