Laura Cerny is currently a VP, Legal Director Procurement at Accor. Prior to this, she was an International Legal Counsel at Aptar Group (Paris). Her main activity focused on anticompetitive practices (unfair agreements and abuses of dominant position, unfair business practices), down raids and investigations led by the French Competition authorities (DGCCRF), sales promotions (promotional games and contests) as well as advertisement. She was also very involved in all distribution issues (draft of distribution agreements, assistance in negotiations between suppliers and distributors). She was also involved in the implementation of compliance programmes as well as audits. She graduated from Fordham University (New York) in 2002 (LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law) and from the University of Paris-X Nanterre in 2001 (Post-graduate degree in European Business Law). She also holds an Advanced Legal Study Diploma (DEJA) in Anglo-American Business Law (2000). She was called to the Paris Bar in 2004.
