Kari Niemenoja is Partner with Grant Thornton in Helsinki. Prior to joining Grant Thornton he worked for PwC Corporate Finance and its M&A team. Since then he has specialized in transactions in the Middle Market sector and competition issues. Kari is an experienced project leader who is often used in M&A projects which deal with competition tasks and corporate law. This work has includes acting as the leader of the trustee teams across a range of European Commission cases (including Yara/Kemira GrowHow, Telia/Sonera and YLE/TdF/Digita) and also in the Finnish national cases SOK/Spar (retail) and Elisa/Saunalahti (telecom). Before joining PwC, Kari worked as a Head of Legal Department at asset management company Arsenal Ltd, where he was responsible for various M&A and real estate transactions and financial restructurings.
