Julija Jerneva’s competition law practice covers a broad range of issues including abuse of dominant position, prohibited agreements, merger control, state aid and abuse of buyer power in retail. In 2007-2009 Julija contributed to the drafting of the amendments to the Latvian Competition Law. Ms Jerneva periodically lectures at the Law Faculty of the University of Latvia and the Riga Graduate School of Law. She is the author of many articles on the subject of international, national, and EU law. Ms. Jerneva graduated from College of Europe (Bruges) with LL.M. in European Legal Studies and she obtained her LLB from the University of Latvia. Julija also obtained postgraduate diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London. Julija Jerneva is a member of the Latvian Bar and a partner with Vilgerts law firm.
