Jordan M. Schwartz is an Associate at the Washington Office of Skadden. He represents clients in purported class actions and multidistrict litigation, particularly consumer fraud class actions in federal and state courts. Mr. Schwartz has successfully represented an array of product manufacturers at both the trial and appellate levels. He successfully has defended pharmaceutical companies in litigation commenced by state attorneys general alleging violations of consumer protection laws. Mr. Schwartz also has extensive experience defending against third-party-payers alleging false advertising in connection with prescription medications. In addition to representing companies in proceedings involving pharmaceutical and consumer products, Mr. Schwartz has represented the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, drafting amicus briefs on its behalf in cases affecting American businesses and authoring articles and white papers pertaining to various litigation reform measures. Mr. Schwartz has written extensively on developments in class action law at both the federal and state levels, developments in state attorney general litigation and trends in aggregate litigation.
