Jérôme Bédier is Deputy Director General and Secretary General of Carrefour since 2015. Before joining Carrefour in 2012, he was President of the French Federation of Trade and Distribution (FECD), France’s retail federation. Mr. Bédier also held the following positions: Member of the Office of the MEDEF since January 2000; Member of the Executive Council of the CNPF since July 1995 ; Member of the Higher Council of Agricultural Orientation since 1995 ; Member of the Board of Directors of the AFSSA; Member of the Council of Orientation with the FISAC since 1995; Member of the National Committee of Euro; Member of the General Council of Ina-pg since 1999; Member of the Board of Directors of the National Council of Packing and President of the Strategic Committee; Member of the Board of Directors of the EPARECA since September 2000; Member since 1996 and President since 1998 of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of the Saint-Simon Cross ; President of the Tax Committee of the MEDEF (1996-2000) ; Since 2005, President of the MEDEF Europe Commission ; Vice-président of Eurocommerce (1995-2000). From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Bédier was a partner at Deloitte & Touche, heading up the public sector and privatisation department. Prior to this he was a director at the Ministry for Trade and Artisanat (from 1986 to 1991) and a technical advisor in the cabinet of the Minister in charge of trade and craft. Before this, Mr. Bédier held various positions at the Ministry for Economy and Finances (1984 to 1986), Ministry for Industry (1980 to 1984), the Directorate-General of Industry (1980 to 1983), the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (1980) and the IEP Paris (1984 to 1991). He is a former student from the French National School of Administration (ENA).
