Jean-Louis Aribaud

Jean-Louis Aribaud is a civil servant of the Ministry of Economy. He is the head of the department for competition, consumers affairs, fraud control and metrology at the regional directorate for companies, undertaking, consummers affairs, work and employment of the Pays de la Loire (DIRECCTE), France. He dealt for a number of years with antitrust cases, mergers and public procurement issues at the competition directorate of the ministry (DGCCRF) in Paris and was seconded to the former Merger Taskforce of EU Commission’s DG Competition (1996-1999). He was appointed as deputy head of the DGCCRF antitrust policy unit in 2003. In 2006, he joined the French Competition Authority (Conseil de la concurrence, now called Autorité de la concurrence) where he was a member of the Staff of the President.
