Jean-Julien is the partner in charge of the competition department at Stephenson Harwood in Paris. He has developed an expertise of fifteen years in competition law. He acts in investigations concerning alleged anti-competitive practices, mainly initiated by the French competition authority or by the European Commission, and in merger control cases. Jean-Julien also advises his clients on the implementation of compliance programs, on distribution law and on issues of restrictive competition practices. In parallel, Jean-Julien Lemonnier is also regularly involved in internal investigations, not only in competition law but also beyond, in particular in criminal business law. He advises clients mainly in the financial sector but also in a wide variety of sectors such as transport, energy, consumer goods, digital and chemical. Jean-Julien regularly publishes articles and analyses in the field of competition. He is also regularly called upon to speak at conferences and training sessions. Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Jean-Julien was Counsel in the competition department of a leading international law firm in Paris. Jean-Julien is bilingual in French and English and is a member of the Paris Bar.
