Jean-François Cordet is currently a senior advisor in extraordinary service at the Court of Auditors (Paris) and president of the National Observatory on Urban Policy (ONPV). He was Prefect of the French region of Nord - Pas-de-Calais, Prefect of the North zone of defense and security, Prefect of the French department of Nord. Born on May 4, 1950 in Hanoi (North Vietnam), he holds a Master of Public Law and is post-graduated of Private Law (Paris Panthéon Sorbonne), of the Institute of Political Studies (Paris) and of the National School of Administration (Pierre Mendes France, 1976-1978).
