Heiner Haug is a researcher in economics at the University of Paris 1(Sorbonne), where he joined the PRISM research unit in 2004. His main interests lie in the economic and strategic dimensions of competition between brand name drugs and generic drugs. Ongoing research projects concentrate on demand behaviour and market structure in post-patent markets for prescription drugs, as well as on pharmaceutical companies’ strategic behaviour and related antitrust issues. Heiner holds a doctorate in economics from Sorbonne University. He graduated from the ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris in 2003, after studying in Germany, the UK, Spain and France.
