Giuseppe Mezzapesa

Giuseppe Mezzapesa is Of Counsel at Jones Day (Milano). He practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, with a focus on competition issues, and IP law. He regularly drafts and revises commercial contracts for major multinational groups, and his practice also includes participation in cross-border transactions where he is routinely involved in the due diligence process, drafting and negotiation of share purchase agreements, and corporate reorganization. He handles antitrust and competition issues, including counseling clients on the filing of pre-merger notifications with the Italian Competition Authority (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato) and assists with dominant position claims and cartel investigations. He also advises Italian and foreign clients involved in different sectors with respect to IP-related issues. Prior to joining Jones Day, Giuseppe served in the corporate finance department at Ernst & Young, where he developed finance skills, and practiced commercial and company law with Macchi di Cellere & Gangemi in Milan.
