Gillian Arnoux is head of competition compliance at CMA CGM. Previously, Gillian Arnoux was case handler (rapporteur) at the French Competition Authority (Autorité de la Concurrence). Prior to that, he was legal advisor in charge of European affairs in the Office of the President from 2009 till 2011. Prior to joining the French Competition Authority in June 2009, he was an in-house legal Counsel specialized in Competition Law for a leading international aeronautical, defense and high-technology company where he gained comprehensive experience regarding abuse of dominant position related issues. Gillian studied law at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and graduated from the Nottingham University LL.M. program with first class honours. He holds a PhD from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, his doctoral thesis focusing on the implementation of EU competition rules to the defense industry.
