Francesco Russo is Chief Procurement Officer at Poste Italiane, and an antitrust lawyer. For more than 10 years, Russo has been engaged in matters related to antitrust law, regulated markets, and the European Union. In his long association with Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, he assisted some of Italy’s principal industrial groups in matters of competition and European Union law, market law, and the processes and procedures of Italian governing authorities and the European Commission. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Russo maintains ties to the academic community, serving as visiting researcher at the Amsterdam Centre for Law and Economics at the University of Amsterdam, where he previously spent 3 years engaged in full-time research activity. In 2010 he became the youngest Italian to have had a study published by Cambridge University Press. As of January 2015, he is the president of RENA, an independent think tank. He is a member of the administrative council of the fine arts group, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He contributed to founding HubSpa, the first instance of a business incubator and co-working space active in the area of Naples and Caserta.
