Florence Thépot

Florence Thépot is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Strasbourg. She was formerly a lecturer at the University of Glasgow, UK. Her research focuses on the interfaces between competition law and corporate governance, and she has research interests in the area of digital markets. She is the author of the book ‘The Interaction between Competition Law and Corporate Governance’ (Cambridge University Press, 2019). She is the winner of the 8th Young Writers Award, World Competition, Kluwer Law International for the article Market Power in Online Search and Social-Networking: A Matter of Two-Sided Markets. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Competition Law & Economics (OUP). Florence is a graduate from Sciences-Po (Strasbourg) and from the College of Europe (Bruges). She holds a PhD in competition Law from University College London. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Competition and Innovation in Munich. She is also a former recipient of the International Scholar in Residence Program, of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association. In that context she was a visiting researcher at Georgetown University Law Center (Washington DC) in 2014. Aside from academia, she holds professional experience from Linklaters LLP (Competition Law/Antitrust Group), and from the European Commission (Directorate General for Internal Market and Services).
