Eriko Watanabe is a partner with Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo, Japan. She practices antitrust and corporate law. In particular, she has worked extensively on antitrust/competition matters. Ms. Watanabe assumes the position of Director of Japan Competition Law Forum from September 2005. Ms. Watanabe is a member of Daiichi Tokyo Bar Association. Ms. Watanabe earned her LL.B in 1983 at Tohoku University in Japan and her LL.M in 1994 at the University of Washington, School of Law in Seattle. She is licensed to practice law in Japan. Ms. Watanabe has written and lectured on legal topics regarding the Antimonopoly Law of Japan, including “Regulation on Setting Technology Standards Under The Antimonopoly Law of Japan” Washington University Global Studies Law Review and “Merger Control Worldwide” (Japan part) Cambridge University Press.
