Chairman

Mr. Costakis Christoforou was born on 4th September 1945, at Kornos Larnaca. He is a holder of a B.A. (Law) (Hons) and did postgraduate studies at the Institute of Advance Legal Studies in London, in the subject of Legislative Drafting and Public International Law. He was, also, awarded an LLM in European Law and Management from Leicester University. For the last 12 years he was the Secretary General of the House of Representatives. He was the Director of the Parliamentary Committees Services, Chairman of the Secretaries-General Association and Advisor on the application of the new Election Law of Cyprus. He participated in various conferences of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, the International Parliamentary Union and other International Conferences on Parliamentary Advisory Practices. He has written various articles and papers on the subject of parliamentary practices and procedures.
