Christian Hagerman has 10 years of legal experience from both the private and the public sector with specific experience from the hotel, travel, energy and finance sector. He has particular experience in the field of EU law litigation and commercial dispute resolution. Mr. Hagerman is currently Group Legal Counsel at Folksam. He worked as a Legal Counsel at the Swedish Competition Authority. His main responsbilities were to represent the Authority in all forms of competition law litigation and to provide the Authority’s other departments with legal advice. Mr. Hagerman was previously employed by Mannheimer Swartling law firm where he worked in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and EU & Competition law Practice Groups. He has acted as Counsel in national court proceedings and international commercial arbitrations. He has also represented clients before national competition authorities and the European Commission, provided legal advice on articles 101-102 TFEU, EU and national merger control rules and issues related to other areas of EU law such as state aid and free movement. He also has extensive experience of general EU law and has worked both as a Legal Counsel in EU affairs at the Prime Minister’s office of the Swedish Government and as a Special Adviser at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. In the latter capacity he represented the Swedish Government in various cases before the European Court of Justice.
