Catherine Hammon (née Chibnall) is a Solicitor with Ashurst, specialising in all aspects of EU and UK competition law, including antitrust work and merger control advice. She is the Professional Development Lawyer for the firm’s pan-European EU and competition practice and is responsible for technical excellence, knowhow and training. She was Ashurst’s internal co-ordinator and editor for "UK Merger Control: Law and Practice" by Parr, Finbow and Hughes (Sweet & Maxwell, 2nd ed., 2004) and is Contributing Editor for the International Comparative Legal Guide to Merger Control, (Global Legal Group, published annually). Prior to her current role she was a Referendaire to the President of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
