Brenda Sufrin is a graduate of the University of Birmingham and qualified as a solicitor after articles with a firm in the City of London. She began her academic career as a Research Associate in the Institute of Judicial Administration at the University of Birmingham. She was appointed a Senior Lecturer in Bristol in 1993, Reader in 1995, and Professor in 2003. She teaches Competition Law, European Union Law and Trusts. Her main research interests and publications lie in the area of Competition Law and she is also the co-editor of a standard work on Contempt of Court.
