Bernard van de Walle de Ghelcke is a member of the Brussels bar since 1977. He is a former partner of Linklaters LLP and since 2009, Of Counsel in the Brussels office. Bernard van de Walle is a Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges since 1993 where he teaches a course on European Union legal order and institutions. He currently chairs the Global Competition Law Center. As a practitioner, he specialises in competition law, including State aid, as well as in general EU law and internal market issues. He regularly pleads cases before the European Union courts.
