Barbara Nijs is counsel in NautaDutilh’s competition and EU law group. She specialises in the areas of merger control, cartels, leniency applications, compliance training, joint ventures and other cooperative arrangements, distribution systems and abuse of dominance. Barbara has a wide experience with advising on complex merger control filings with the Authority for Consumers & Markets ("ACM") and the European Commission. She also has a broad experience with coordinating international mergers and acquisitions that require notifications with competition authorities in multiple jurisdictions. Barbara graduated from the University of Leiden in 1995. Barbara is a member of the editorial board of a Dutch competition law journal (Tijdschrift Mededingingsrecht in de Praktijk) and regularly publishes articles in her field.
